REPRESENTATIVES OF THE RUSSIAN-AMERICAN SCIENTIFIC WORKSHOP GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE INNOVATION INFRASTRUCTURE IN KAZAN

Yesterday, on October 9, the participants of the First Russian-American Scientific Workshop “Design of Advanced Functional Materials: Education, Research & Innovations in Engineering” got acquainted with the innovation infrastructure of Tatarstan capital. The delegation headed by the Workshop Principal in the United States Anatoly Korkin visited Technopolis “Himgrad”, Technopark “Idea” and Nanotechnology Centre of the Republic of Tatarstan. 

During the visit the guests were presented the products of “Idea” and “Himgrad” residents. In particular, the “Idea” residents – representatives of “Eidos” told about auto simulators “AUTOTRAINER” designed to train automobile and truck drivers, and medical simulators. In addition, the leading foreign and Russian scientists were demonstrated the “Himgrad” resident developments – the Company “Danaflex” - one of the leading manufacturers of advanced flexible packaging of high quality.

To the point, the Russian-American Scientific Workshop “Design of Advanced Functional Materials: Education, Research & Innovations in Engineering” is held in Kazan on October 7-11, 2013. The workshop is attended by 16 foreign professors and 4 Russian lecturers. Such scientists as Associate Vice-President of Arizona State University William Petuskey, Professor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering Department Dominic Gervasio, Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry Department Don Seo take part in the Workshop. More than 200 participants from Romania, Moscow and Moscow region, St. Petersburg, Altai region, Nizhniy Novgorod Region and Tatarstan attend lectures.
