Prospects for the development of Youth Innovation Creativity Centres (YICC) in Tatarstan have been today discussed in Kazan. The meeting, held at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, was attended by Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan - Head of the Business Support Department Rustem Sibgatullin, Head of the Project “Creation of the Youth Innovation Creativity Centres Network (YICC) in the Republic of Tatarstan” Nicholay Nasonov, Head of Infrastructure Development of Small and Medium Enterprises of the RT Ministry of Economy Ilya Belov, as well as representatives of YICCs from Tatarstan regions and cities.
Tatarstan project head Nicholay Nasonov informed on the YICC’s performance results for 10 months. To date, there are 10 YICCs in Tatarstan with the engagement of more than 5,000 students since its opening. Students within a group or independently, during the implementation of various projects, learn the basics of digital prototyping technologies and the basics of entrepreneurship.
During the meeting, heads of the republican centres also spoke about the specifics of interaction with educational institutions. Director of Naberezhnye Chelny YICC Pavel Alekseevsky told about the work experience with Naberezhnye Chelny Institute of Kazan (Volga region) Federal University (Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design), and heads of Zelenodol'sk and Drozhannoe regions centres Radik Volkov and Julia Tarasenko told about the interaction with the regional schools.
The centres’ heads argued for the importance of developing the created centres, as well as expanding the existing network across Tatarstan districts.
Following the meeting, it was resolved to discuss the possibility of interaction between centres and relevant republican ministries, in particular, the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan.
After the meeting the YICCs representatives continued their work in Technopark “Idea”, where they attended an open lesson on the architectural forms creation.
