The innovative regional cluster in the field of nanotechnology will be created in Tatarstan. The corresponding Decree was signed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.
“To accept the proposal of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and CJSC “Innovative and Production Technopark “Idea” on the establishment in RT the innovative regional cluster in the field of nanotechnology”, - stated in the text of the Decree. It is also noted that the cluster is created “for the purpose of innovative development of the economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the introduction of advanced technologies in the real sector of the economy, creating high-tech jobs and improve productivity”.
As follows from the document, the Cabinet of Ministers of RT must develop and approve an action plan for creating the cluster until December 1, 2014.
Technopark “Idea” will be a specialized organization engaged in methodological, organizational, informational and expert analytical support for the development of the innovative regional cluster
The Decree also is stated that it is necessary to offer OJSC “Tatneft”, OJSC “KAMAZ”, OJSC “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding”, OJSC “TAIF”, OJSC “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” and other industrial enterprises of Tatarstan, applying and producing products using nanotechnology, including the enterprises of the military-industrial complex, to participate in the creation of the cluster.
To provide scientific and methodological support will be offered to educational institutions of higher education and research organizations, located on the territory of the region and engaged in research, development and training in the areas of training “Nanotechnology and nanomaterials”.
The Decree comes into force from the date of signing.
The press service of Technopark “Idea” reported that the cluster will focus on the following priority sectors of the economy of the republic as petrochemistry, mechanical engineering and new materials, automation and instrumentation, medicine and pharmaceuticals, aviation and space sector. To meet the needs of industrial enterprises of Tatarstan in the course of the project will be created small companies.
The innovative cluster will consist of leading innovative sites of Tatarstan, such as Technopolis “Himgrad”, Kama Industrial Park “Master”, created by Technopark “Idea” together with OJSC “KAMAZ”, Technopark “Idea-Yugo-Vostok”, created by “Idea” together with OJSC “Tatneft” in 2004.
