Pulsar VC Acceleration Program: the collection of applications has been completed

15 april 2016

Yesterday, 14 April 2016, organizers of the International Accelerator Pulsar VC Acceleration Program have announced the application process results. Overall 378 applications were submitted by teams from 37 Russian cities and 15 countries. Kazan, the native city of the Accelerator, became the leader in the number of submitted applications as well as Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara and Naberezhnye Chelny. Companies from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Mongolia, the United States, Turkmenistan and Ukraine also expressed desire to participate in the Pulsar VC Accelerator.

CEO of Pulsar Venture Capital Pavel Korolev has commented on the completion of one of the stages of the accelerator: “Analyzing submitted applications I have noticed several moments. First of all, it is geography and the level of projects development. Our Accelerator is an investment program with high requirements and emphasis on the willingness to enter new markets and commercialization. We requested detailed information and asked all participants to show their determination even at the application stage. We have received positive feedback from the teams: hundreds of start-ups want to develop beyond stereotypes and are ready to conquer the global market. Currently our Expert Council is selecting 50 companies to participate at the final stage within the Kazan Venture Fair on April 27 and as a result we will make offers for teams to be included into the program. But for the moment the fact that such a number of teams are eager to do large-scale products oriented to the whole world is already impressive”.

Pulsar Venture Capital creates the conditions for the implementation of innovative projects, developing science-intensive technology companies.

In 2015 Pulsar Venture Capital in partnership with Technopark “Idea” has launched two accelerator programs. April 20, 2015 in the framework of the Kazan Venture Fair, Pulsar VC in cooperation with Russian Venture Company, RUSNANO, the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as Cisco Company, launched the program of Kazan Boot Camp. The best innovative projects in two areas: IT (information technology) and Industrial (industrial and hardware innovations), were selected on the basis of the results of an expert session to participate in the Kazan Boot Camp. Experts from 500 Startups (USA), AppCampus (Finland), Startupbootcamp (Denmark), Guinness Enterprise Centre (Ireland), Golden Gate Ventures (Singapore) and others came to train Russian startups. The accelerator was ended by pitch session as part of the X Kazan Venture Fair.

Then Pulsar took the oil and gas startups from all over Russia.

In 2015 it was a revealing story of the success of domestic start-up Vendi, a portfolio company of Pulsar Venture Capital, which in August was selected by Singaporean accelerator Telstra. Vendi has been creating software for vending systems, which automatically collects order information in the cloud, and allows users to make purchases through the app.
