The Republican Robotics Festival will be held in Technopark “Idea” on May 20, 2016. At the present moment the applications for participation have been submitted by more than 20 teams.
The festival aims to increase interest of students in engineering professions, to promote youth competencies in the field of programming of intelligent robotic systems, as well as to give impetus to the projects of young inventors.
The Robotics Festival is traditionally held in 4 categories: “Racing along the lines”, “Sumo. Maneuvering”, “Kegelring-Quadro” and “Creative category: robots for people”. One of the differences of this contest is a new approach in categories of “Sumo. Maneuvering” and “Kegerling-Quadro”. The effectiveness of the competition in the category “Sumo. Maneuvering” will be determined by many criteria, one of the main is as long as to stay in the center of the playing field. Competition “Kegerling-Quadro” is focused on robots that can not only “see” the pins, but also to distinguish its color.
Particular interest, both for the audience and for a judicial colleague, is the creative category, where “robots for people” is a robotic systems, managed to become a part of our everyday lives, able to perform for people various kinds of tasks.
At the end of the competition, the winners of the festival will be awarded with diplomas, cups and valuable prizes, and all participants will be awarded with personal certificates.
