Interuniversity School of Innovative Start-up – 2017 has been ended

Solemn closing of the Interuniversity School of Innovative Start-up – 2017 was held at the Department of Innovative Development of the Kazan (Volga region) Federal University. This is the first and unique program that allows future contestants to prepare a full set of documents for a program “Start” of the Foundation for the Assistance of Innovation, to learn how to present their project, and to evaluate their project by the experts and mentors of the School.

Honorary guests of the opening were the Director General of Tatarstan Center for Scientific and Technical Information Airat Nasyrov, Deputy Director General of the Foundation of Regional Innovation Projects of the Russian Association of Innovative Regions Arthur Zamaliev, Deputy Director of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan Arsen Savva, Head of Department of Innovative Programs Development of Technopark “Idea” Farida Gainullina, representative of JSC “Russian Venture Company” - manager of programs to support innovation infrastructure Irina Martynova.

30 best representatives of KFU, KNITU-KAI, KNITU-KCHTI, KSEU, including students, undergraduates and teachers, who strive to realize themselves through scientific, technical and innovative activities, became the listeners of the School. The projects of the School participants represent such directions as: future medicine, biotechnologies, information technologies, modern materials and technologies for its creation, new hardware complexes.

The event was opened by the Pro-rector for Innovation Activities of KFU Andrey Artemiev. During the presentation, he outlined the main stages of the School, thanked the teachers for the fruitful work, noted a large number of projects in the fields of medicine for the future and biotechnology, including among the winners of the contest “Top 10 Innovative Ideas of KFU” and shared plans for the further development of the School of the Young Innovator and the School of Innovative Start-Up.

Oleg Nikitin, candidate of Sciences, associate professor of the Applied Ecology Department at the Institute of Ecology and Nature Management of the KFU, spoke from the graduates of the School of Innovative Start-Up. He presented his project “The Biological Quality Control System “Toxicity Analyzer TrackTox” and thanked the organizers for the opportunity of free training in the School.

During the training period, the following enterprises showed interest in the project: Federal state budgetary institution of science “Institute of Lake Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences” (St. Petersburg); Federal State Budget Scientific Institution “Federal Center for Toxicological, Radiological and Biological Safety” (Kazan); Central Specialized Inspection of Analytical Control of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan); Center for Cyanobacteria and Their Toxins (Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, Brno, Czech Republic); LLC “Ecoaudit” (Kazan).

Arsen Savva spoke about the competitive programs of the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan (“The 50 Best Innovative Ideas for the Republic of Tatarstan”, “IDEA 1000”, etc.), noted the high level of projects of the Graduates of the Interuniversity School. He expressed a wish to the universities of the Republic of Tatarstan to take a more active part in the programs of the School.

“The opening of such kind of interuniversity educational programs is a big step for the development of the innovation environment of the region, including the formation of conditions for the creation of intellectual property and the involvement in the economic circulation of rights to the results of intellectual activity”, - said Airat Nasyrov.

Within the framework of cooperation between KFU and JSC “Russian Venture Company” Irina Martynova made a presentation about Federal Accelerator Generation S and a master class on business models. Note that on August 1, 2017 KFU acquired the status of an infrastructure partner of the GenerationS project of the JSC “Russian Venture Company”.

“I wish good luck in the implementation of projects! We are waiting for you at the final selection in the Technopark “Idea”, where the projects will be defended before the expert commission”, - said Farida Gainullina referring to the graduates.

Arthur Zamaliev wished the graduates not to stop on their laurels and submit projects for venture financing to other federal funds, for example in RVC, RUSNANO, the Development Fund for the Center for the Development and Commercialization of New Technologies, etc.

At the end of the event, Andrey Artemyev noted the coordinated work of the employees of KFU, the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, the representative of the Foundation for the Assistance of Innovation in the Republic of Tatarstan Technopark “Idea”, Tatarstan Center of Scientific and Technical Information, the Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan.
