Hans Nygard: “A project that we are considering here is suitable on all parameters”

Today, a meeting on the implementation of the project for the construction of a plant for the production of fish of salmon species was held in the Technopark “Idea”. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Karimov, General Director of Technopark “Idea” Oleg Ibragimov and representatives of the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway - Trade Advisor to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Moscow, Director of Innovation Norway Frode Mu, Director of the Maritime Department of the University Bergen Amund Moghe, Head of the Foundation Innovation Norway Hans Nygard, Counselor for Education, Science and Technology of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Moscow Radina Trengereid.

Recall, the project “Organization of production of Atlantic salmon in closed water supply facilities with a capacity of 3,000 tons per year” is designed for a capacity of 10,000 tons / year. The total cost of the project will be preliminary 85 million euros.

Hans Nygard stressed that the project is suitable for support from the Norwegian investment company. “The project that we are considering here is suitable in all respects!”, - he said.

The investor explained that today his company is ready to finance the project, provided that there will be two more investors, one of which is a Russian company. According to Hans Nygard, this interaction showed the best effect.

In turn, Albert Karimov said that this form of support is very interesting for Tatarstan: “We will use it in the implementation of other projects”.

Following the meeting, the delegation of the Kingdom of Norway took part in the plenary session of the 16th All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists “Food Technology and Biotechnology”.

Recall that in the framework of the Republican Council on the reproduction of aquatic biological resources and aquaculture development in the Republic of Tatarstan, it is planned to create a modern fish farming industry with a production volume of 40,000 tons of fish products by 2030. The implementation of this direction will be carried out through the creation of Aquaculture Technopark (hereinafter TA), the residents of which will be producers of commodity aquaculture, feed, fish planting material, and other related areas that provide high cooperation and the creation of added value.

For the creation and development of the Aquaculture Technopark site, the Management Company TIA-Chelny was established, which will develop the infrastructure of the new Technopark and work with residents.

The first joint project of the Management Company TIA-Chelny and investors from Norway will be the project “Organization of production of Atlantic salmon in closed water supply facilities with a capacity of 3,000 tons per year”.
