Technopark “Idea” is of the focus attention of Finland.

On the 24^th of April, 2008 within the framework of an official visit of the delegation from Finland to Kazan, headed by Director of Innovative Department of Ministry of Employment and Economy of Finland, Mr. Henrik Räihä, visited the Innovative Technopark “Idea”.

The delegation from Suomi arrived in Kazan for participating in work of the Seventh session of joint Tatarstan-Finland workgroup on foreign trade assistance. The main aim of the Finland delegation’s visit to Technopark was acquainting with innovative potential of the Republic of Tatarstan and discussing the issues of bilateral collaboration.

During the delegation’s visit to the Innovative Technopark “Idea” Deputy Director for innovations of Technopark, Oleg Ibragimov conducted a view excursion and told about history of Technopark “Idea” establishment and development. Within the framework of the presentation of Technopark activity at a “round-table” Oleg Ibragimov told to his colleagues from Finland about main activity direction of TP “Idea”, implementation phases of innovative projects on its territory, its potential clients, and also development perspectives for the nearest future.

A searching authority of a division working with residents of special economic zone (SEZ) “Alabuga”, Gani Nurmuhametov took part at work of the “round-table”; during the presentation of SEZ “Alabuga” activity he told about competitive advantages for residents of SEZ, and also main directions of production development for the nearest future.

During discussion the sides exchanged opinions about discussed issues. Mr. Henrik Räihä highly appreciated economic and innovative potential of Tatarstan and expressed his hope in effective cooperation.

The Eighth meeting of joint Tatarstan-Finland workgroup on development of trade and economic cooperation is planned to be hold in Helsinki in April-May of 2009.

The First session of joint Tatarstan-Finland workgroup was held during conducting Finnish Business Forum “Finbusiness-2000” in May, 2000 in Kazan. Since the moment of work-group formation six sessions have been held. On results of each of them a Protocol, reflecting achieved agreement is signed.
