18-21 of September, 2008 VII International Investment Forum “Sochi-2008” is held in Sochi.

Organizers of the Forum is Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RF, Ministry for Regional Development of RF, Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian President to the Southern Federal District, Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Administration of the Krasnodar Territory with the support of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation.

Main goal of the Forum is to provide an international meeting place for the foremost representatives of the Russian and world business communities, scientists and government agencies to discuss modernization and investment development of the Russian economy.

Main tasks of the Forum are to pool the efforts of business, science and government representatives to promote major investment projects and modernize the Russian economy by exploring new economic ideas, to form a development strategy for the Russian Federation, to increase Russia's investment appeal and strengthen its foreign trade positions, to promote integration of Russian enterprises into the global economy, to develop the financial system in the Russian Federation, to contribute to the spread of innovation technologies in the context of the global economy, to provide a major forum for presenting key investment projects proposed for the Russian Federation and other tasks.

Forum participants are representatives of federal legislative and executive authorities, executive authorities of the Russian regions, Russian and foreign business and scientific circles, diplomatic and trade missions, and the media.

The Forum will feature: an exhibition of the Ministry for Economic Development and Trade of the RF, including projects of the RF Investment Fund and special economic zones, exhibition of the Southern Federal District, Kuban Investment Gallery, exhibitions of Russian regions, sponsors’ exhibition and exhibition of Russian and foreign enterprises and organizations.

The Republic of Tatarstan also will take part in the VII International Investment Forum “Sochi-2008”. The Tatarstan delegation includes Prime-minister of Tatarstan Republic, the Chairman of organizing committee Minnikhanov R.N., Minister for Economic, Deputy Chairman of organizing committee Safiullin M.R., Director-General of Government Nonprofit Organization “Investment and Venture Fund of RT” Aideldinov A.T., Chairman of RT Committee for small- and middle-scale businesses development Shagivaleev T.N., Director-General of “Innovative Technopark “Idea” OJSC Yushko S.V. and other representatives of Tatarstan Republic.

In exhibition of VII International Investment Forum “Sochi-2008” Technopark “Idea” will present following projects: “Organization of combined glued beam production for house building” developing by “OLTA vud” closed corporation, “Production of basaltic thermal insulation” developing by “SMP-Mechanic” limited liability Company and “Production of aircraft for two” developing by “StelsAviaTech” limited liability Company.
