The II International Specialized Exhibition “Nanotechnology. Kazan-2010” and the XI International Conference “Nanotechnology in the Industry” are held from December 8, 2010 till December 10, 2010 in Kazan.
The Exhibition involves 107 companies from the regions of Russia: Moscow, Penza, the Samara Region, Udmurtia, Saint-Petersburg, State Corporation “RUSNANO” (20 companies). These are Russian equipment manufacturers for various industries, research and design institutes, universities, scientific laboratories, research and development centers and investment funds. The Republic of Tatarstan is presented by general exhibition stand and expositions of 29 enterprises.
The Exposition displays nanomaterials and nanotechnology, nanomaterials equipment, nanotechnology services, nanotechnology and nanomaterials based finished products, nanotechnology in various industries, nanoengineering and nanoelectronics and etc.
Organizers of the exhibition – the government of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the mayoralty of Kazan, JSC “Kazan fair” under the auspices of the State Corporation “RUSNANO”.
The XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Nanotechnology in the Industry” is held within the Exhibition.
The Conference “Nanotechnology in the Industry” is devoted to the nanoscience and nanotechnology basic research, the nanotechnology application in aviation, machinery, instrumentation and petrochemistry.
The Exhibition and Conference opening was attended by President of the Republic of Tatarstan - Rustam Minnikhanov, State Council Chairman of the Republic of Tatarstan - Farid Mukhametshin, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan - Ravil Zaripov, Deputy General Director of the State Corporation “Rosnanotech” - Yakov Urinson, as well as, foreign expert – General Director of SVTC Company – Bert Bruggeman, invited by the Innovative Technopark “Idea”.
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in his address to participants of the Forum noted that the effective promotion of nanoindustry projects was achieved due to signing the Agreement on Cooperation in nanotechnology and nanoindustry development between the State Corporation “RUSNANO” and the Republic of Tatarstan in 2008.
Another important event, in the opinion of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, is creation of the Nanotechnology Centre on the Technopark “Idea” basis. The Centre will be equipped with experimental, diagnostic, industrial equipment, and will become a part of innovative infrastructure key elements. The task is to join efforts of «physicists and businessmen» for nanotechnology products creation and commercialization.
In the course of the plenary session of the XI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Nanotechnology in the Industry”, an external expert – CEO of CPharm (Danish Pharmaceutical Consulting Company), Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Izvarino Pharma” Company – Christian Paul Thomas - delivered his speech.
The Conference includes the Section “Infrastructure for nanotechnology development. Nanotechnology in the oil and gas and engineering industries”, moderated by General Director of JSC “Tatneftekhiminvest-holding” - Rafinat Yarullin, General Director of Technopark “Idea” – Sergey Yushko, chief investment expert of the State Corporation “RUSNANO” - Ilya Pavlov.
In the course of Section, Sergey Yushko presented the draft of the Nano-scaled Technologies Centre “Idea” as one of the key elements of the innovation economy of the Russian Federation.
In the Section as external international experts the Chief Technology Officer of Physical Logic Ltd. Company (Israel) – Noel Axelrod, Ph.D delivered a speech and presentation on a subject of MEMS (microelectromechanical systems) technologies, productions and devices, as well as Professor Amir Lichtenstein (Israel) on a subject of nanoindustry, devices and its application.
Also, representatives of Kazan State Technological University, Kazan State Technical University named by A.N. Tupolev, the Academy of Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, Institution of Kazan physical and technical institute named after E.K. Zavoisky of Kazan Scientific Center RAS, Institute of Thermopsycics named by S.S. Kutateladze of the Siberian Department of RAS (Novosibirsk), Tambov State Technical University, LLC “SPE “Inotech” (Cheboksary) and others took part in the Section.
The second day of the II International Specialized Exhibition “Nanotechnology. Kazan-2010” and the XI International Conference “Nanotechnology in the Industry” was concluded by the Joint Session of the Nanotechnology Society in Russia and the Republican Interdepartmental Commission on the nanoindustry development in the Republic of Tatarstan, in the course of which the results of the event have been summed up and awards have been presented to the winners of the nanotechnology works of young scientists, students and post graduates as per “UMNIK” Program, which was also held within the Conference.
