Delegation of the Astrakhan region headed by Deputy Minister of Economic Development Sergey Krzhanovsky visited the Republic of Tatarstan with a view to share experience in the sphere of regional innovation development of small and medium-sized enterprises on the basis of territorial-production clusters, and as a part of Agreement on Commercial and Economic, Scientific and Technological, and Socio-Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Government of the Astrakhan region.
The city of Kazan was chosen as the priority place for training of representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Astrakhan region, Autonomous Institution “The Astrakhan Region Innovation Center”, Cluster Development Center, Working Group on the Creation of Regional Technopark “Technopark-Astrakhan”, the founders of the “Pilot” Group of Companies which implement the IT-Park Project in Astrakhan.
The Republic of Tatarstan is one of the leading innovative regions of the Russian Federation that has significant achievements in the creation and development of regional innovation infrastructure, formation and subsequent effective operation of the infrastructure facilities: business incubators, technology parks , technopolis, industrial parks and other infrastructure projects at the republican and the Russian Federation level.
During a visit to Kazan, members of professional training got acquainted with the activity of Cluster Development Center of the Republic of Tatarstan in the sphere of polymer processing, Technopolis “Himgrad”, High Technology Technopark “IT-Park”, JSC “Tatneftehiminvest-holding”, Special Economic Zone “Alabuga”, The Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The participants had the opportunity to hear first-hand the story of technopark creation, features of its operations model, programs and competitions through which technopark selects innovative projects and the story of project of the RT Center of Nanotechnology.
It should be reminded that currently 98 companies are localized in the territory of Technopark ”Idea” which involve 1 855 employees, the average wage of which is 23 277 rubles that is 21 % higher than the republican. In 2011, 755 new jobs were created and the output including exterritorial residents made 4.6 billion rubles.
According to Technopark’s practice, it is not the first case of sharing experiences with other regions. The Technopark actively cooperates with the Government of Penza, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk regions in regard to development of innovation infrastructure similar to Technopark “Idea”.
