Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Japan) is to place its office in the territory of Technopark “Idea”.

The news became known after Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had business meeting with the President of the company Teruyoshi Minaki in Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Republic.

Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Japan) runs its business since 1915. Today Yokogawa is one of the largest producers of equipment for the purpose of industrial automation. Equipment of Yokogawa are using in such industries as chemistry, petrochemistry, petroleum refinery, oil and gas production, oil- and gas-transport, power engineering, metallurgy, cellulose-and-paper and food industry.

Yokogawa has 84 subsidiaries all over the world and owns 18 plants, which 19 000 employees provide undisturbed operation of thousands largest enterprises.

At the moment the company is going to expand and strengthen its market position in Tatarstan Republic. Particularly, Rustam Minnikhanov proposed to open office of Yokogawa in the territory of Technopark “Idea”. From his point of view, “it lets the company become well-known and close to the consumer”. In future Yokogawa office may move to the IT-Park area that is planned to be in Kazan by 2010.

The President of Yokogawa Electric Corporation Teruyoshi Minaki said that Russian market and, especially, market ofTatarstan Republic is considered to be the most advanced and prospective. That is why it is attractive for Japanproducers.

“To serve the equipment and distributed control systems that Yokogawa delivers to industrial plants and enterprises of Tatarstan it is extremely important to have skilled engineers and specialists’, - Teruyoshi Minaki mentioned, - and our company is ready to provide them knowledge and technical support”, i.e. to organize training and show the leading technologies.

The total financing of the project Yokogawa has already implemented in Tatarstan since 2003 is about $ 40 million.

Nowadays Yokogawa distributed control systems and anticrash systems work in the largest oil-refining, gas-production and petrochemical enterprises of the Republic of Tatarstan.
