More than 80 participants from 9 cities and districts of Tatarstan were united by the IX Republican Robotics Festival. The event was held today in the Technopark “Idea”.
The participants, young robotic technicians from Zelenodolsk, Apastovsky, Pestrechinsky, Alekseevsky, Verkhneuslonsky, Arsky and other regions of the Republic of Tatarstan, prepared robots that competed in 4 categories: “Racing on the line”, “Sumo. Maneuvering”, “Kegelring-Quadro” and “Robotir”, which was introduced for the first time this year.
Teams of participants represented their educational institutions.
According to the results of the competition prizes were distributed as follows:
SUMO:
1. Tatar Gymnasium No. 2 under Kazan federal University (Kazan);
2. Kuralovsky secondary school (Verkhneuslonsky district);
3. Makulovskiy secondary school (Verkhneuslonsky district).
Kegelring-Quadro:
1. Children’s Technopark “Kvantorium” (Naberezhnye Chelny);
2. Secondary school No. 18 with in-depth study of English (Kazan);
3. The team of the Apastovsk secondary school and the Center of Children's Creativity “Selet”.
Racing on the line:
1. Kazan Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;
2. Kazan Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;
3. Tatar Gymnasium No. 2 under Kazan federal University (Kazan).
Robotir:
1. Kazan Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;
2. Kazan Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation;
3. Laboratory of technical creativity and robotics “RoboDom”.
It should be noted that the festival has been held since 2011 in order to increase students’ interest in engineering professions, as well as to form competences in the field of youth in the field of programming intelligent robotics systems. During this time, more it was attended by more than 800 students from different regions of the country.
Winners of the festival received cups and valuable prizes.
