Working meeting on the establishment of Nanotechnology Centre with the participation of President of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in Technopark “Idea”.

9 june 2011

“Technopark “Idea” which became one of the first innovation infrastructure in Tatarstan, should continue itsdevelopment”, - said President of the Republic during the meeting in Technopark. The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan was accompanied by the First Vice-Premier of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Muratov, Vice-Premier – Minister of Informatization and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Nickolay Nickiforov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Zaripov and others.

General Director of Technopark “Idea” Sergey Yushko presented the current activity results of Technopark to the participants. In 2010, 55 innovative companies were established in the Technopark “Idea” territory with the provision of 674 jobs with average wages which was 24% exceeding of the average national level.

The success of Technopark is a success of its residents. As an example of success story Sergey Yushko cited the project for the development of dynamic driving simulator “KAMAZ” implemented by Company “Eidos” – a resident of Technopark “Idea”. Over a period of six months the project team managed to create the trainer that has noanalogues. The Company “Eidos” involves truck simulators, car simulators, motorbike simulators and even motor boat simulators. This project has received a great number of positive reviews of the representatives of ROSTO DOSAAF, EMERCOM of Russia and has been highly appreciated by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. Rustam Minnikhanov formulated a wish that auto simulators need to be commercialized particularly a more light-weight simulators should be used in children’s cultural institutions.

Presentation came down from innovation projects to infrastructure project and Sergey Yushko reported on the progress of the establishment of Nanotechnology Centre on the basis of Technopark and Technopolis “Himgrad”. Rustam Minnikhanov having familiarized with construction and calendar plans for the establishment of Nanotechnology Centre gave a high rating to the current progress of the project and instructed not to slow down.

In view of maintaining the set progress rate of the project, equipping and opening of the Nanotechnology Centre shall be as per the scheduled date.

The meeting was also attended by the heads of large industrial enterprises of the Republic that are interested in joint implementation of nanotechnology projects.

Project session of companies – potential residents of Nanotechnology Centre was held within the meeting. President of the Republic of Tatarstan took an active part in the project session that involved the consideration of such projects as “Establishment of Innovation and Technology Park on the basis of alcohol industries of the Republic of Tatarstan for petrochemical enterprise wastes recycle”, project “Technology for the nanocomposite polymeric and elastomeric materials”.

President of the Republic spoke at the project session as an expert devoting his attention to every nuance and details of each project. Under the President’s authority the innovative infrastructure was created and is actively developing in Tatarstan. The innovative infrastructure involves Innovational Production Technopark “Idea”, Kama Industrial Park “Master”, Innovational Production Technopark “Idea-South-East”, IT-Park, Technopolis “Himgrad” and now the whole experience will be focused on the Russian project – the establishment of Nanotechnology Centre jointly with the largest Development Institute of the Russian Federation – JSC “RUSNANO”.

Particular attention was given to the project for the establishment of pharmacological centre “Nanopharma Development” initiated by Company “Izvarino Pharma”. The Project is in the highest readiness condition.

According to General Director of LLC “Izvarino Pharma” Orest Ibragimov, it is scheduled to develop so-called drug delivery nanosystems on the high-tech equipment of Nanotechnology Centre in Kazan. Currently only 5 laboratories are engaged in such development all over the world.

According to Orest Ibragimov, an important fact in the project implementation - is the first rating position of the Republic of Tatarstan in the investment attractiveness of regions according to the leading rating agencies as well as comprehensive support and efficiency in making key decisions by the Government and President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
